Kristina Kenjuhh’s solo exhibition “MÄLU” in Narva

On October 6, 2025, Tartu University Narva College (Raekoja plats 2, 2037 Narva) will host the opening of Kristina Kenjuhh's new solo exhibition entitled “MÄLU”

“What we call memory
— is the ability to reproduce unconscious content,
and this
— is its primary function.”

Carl Gustav Jung

It’s hard to disagree with the words of Swiss psychologist Carl Jung, as humanity’s life experience and centuries of practice prove this to be true — reproducing our instinctual essence is our inherent purpose.

Without memory, a person is nothing, and life loses its meaning, because memory is individual, accumulated experience is unique, and lived moments are irreversible.

Sooner or later, everyone begins to reflect on life: on their purpose and the contribution they’ve made to this world; they begin a sort of analysis of their past actions and a reassessment of their core values. What once seemed insignificant now takes on deep meaning — and this shift in worldview is shaped by the experience captured by our memory.

It was precisely such self-reflection that led to the creation of the philosophical and deeply personal exhibition titled “Memory”, which can in many ways be seen as a confession.

The exhibition features works that reflect the soul — the inner world of the artist in all its manifestations.

This debut presentation invites every visitor — from the casual observer to experts in contemporary art and painting — to connect with their own essence, to delve into their inner world, and to rethink the years they’ve lived, offering a thoughtful reevaluation of their choices and experiences.
